The title sponsor of INDYCAR, Verizon challenged us to bring their "Better matters" campaign to life for millions of race fans across the country. In a sport where most fans only ever get to watch from the stands, we knew to make INDYCAR better we had to bring them even closer—closer to the drivers, closer to the pits, closer to the blips, passes, and finish line than ever before.
Better All SeasonOur campaign revved up with a super fast, text-in-to-win rewards program at the series' biggest races.
Race programs, track signage, radio, jumbotron, social and INDYCAR app notifications all encouraged Verizon customers to text in for a chance to earn access to exclusive experiences such as two-seater rides on the track and VIP seats in the coveted Verizon Pit View. After a successful test drive, it was time to gear up for the Indy 500. |
For the historic 100th Running of the Indy 500—the nation’s largest sporting event by attendance—we teamed up with R/GA to make “the greatest spectacle in racing” even better on Verizon by offering customers a chance to score #InsideIndy tickets to watch the race from the iconic Panasonic Pagoda.
Beyond giving fans better views of the track, we created the first-ever live 360° VR viewing experience and treated #InsideIndy winners to Pit Lane seats and private garage tours in Gasoline Alley where they met legendary drivers.
